The Big River fundraising platform began as a pro bono passion project. Founder and CEO, Ron Cass, sat on a number of nonprofit boards. Again and again, he heard the same complaints when it came to online fundraising:
“This system is too hard to use!”
“I can’t get my data out.”
“I just want to sell an event ticket and a membership at the same time.”
Ron has extensive experience in software product development and systems analysis for large corporations, governments, and non-governmental organizations around the world. So he put his experience to work to create a fundraising platform for the nonprofits he loved. Other organizations saw what the platform could do and began asking if they could use it too. And so the company, Big River Online, was born. The world-renowned Cleveland Museum of Art was the company’s flagship account, and the roster of clients quickly grew to include other nonprofit leaders in the Cleveland area.
Today, Big River offers a suite of innovative, cost-effective, cloud-based products for nonprofit fundraising. The company has built a reputation for working alongside its clients, serving not only as a software provider, but as a valued partner.
